Anonymous asked: I'm Asian, and I was dating a guy who is white, and he told me that he "wouldn't want to have sons with me, only daughters, because I think Asian guys are ugly." He also repeatedly told me "Asian guys are gay" and once told me eating tofu is gay. My Asian friends said it was definitely racist but some of my white friends said that the first statement was merely "an aesthetic choice." Racist or not?

In 1999, Richard Hatch (the original Apollo) tried to relaunch Battlestar Galactica as a sequel series. This is the trailer that was made to sell it. I can’t decide if I admire Richard Hatch for this, or am completely embarrassed for him. Maybe both?
How can this have been made in 1999 and look so much like 1980? BSG was relaunched only five years after this. That’s crazy. We have made crazy advances concerning the tone of sci-fi/fantasy series across the board. I’m so proud of television.
I wonder what Xena would look like if it were done now? I think that should happen. That series could be so dark now.
Not that I … ever … watched … Xena.
